Me Management is a 12 month discipleship program that focuses on applying the Word of God to affect and change your lifestyle. Each of the 12 modules focuses on a particular study such as: Me & My Past, Me & My Emotions, Me & Sex, Me & Women, and more. During the course of the year the disciple will be trained by their facilitator/mentor to learn how to check themselves emotionally, mentally, and behaviorally. The program consists of small group projects, assigned reading, report writing, memorization work and group outings. It begins in August and ends with a graduation in July at ADWG conference.

Me Management Extension Site Options
Certified or Completion

As the Me Management Program grows and develops into the fourth year of discipling, we are now offering churches and ministries better options of being included in this unique form of discipleship and biblical training. There are now two options of running the program: Me Management Certified or the Me Management Completion Program.

Both courses follow the 1 year Me Management curriculum; however, one is consistent with the original Me Management system, while the other is set to be more conducive and adaptable to your particular church or ministry schedule.

Please note that currently the Me Management Curriculum comes in a 1 ½ binder with each module divided into their 4 separate lessons. All lessons can be removed from the binder easily to assist the disciple with completing lessons properly. In addition, all outside assignments and papers can and will be added to the binder as the year progresses. By the end of 2006 the published book format will be available.

Below you will find a breakdown of the two discipleship options. After your review, we can discuss what will best help you build strong believers that able to bridge the gap between the truth of the Word of God and their lifestyle as a disciple of Christ. Either option will offer your ministry the ability to be apart of this amazing discipleship program geared strategically to young adult women in the urban community.

MM Option #1 : Me Management Certified

• Class begins and ends on the traditional MM schedule of that particular year
• Graduation is with the MM Ministry at “A Date With God” retreat typically held in July
• Individual graduation requires approval of MM Mentor and church Facilitator, passing grades on exams, scripture memory and completion of graduation questionnaire
• The MM Information Meeting will be held at least 3 weeks prior to program beginning at the church or ministry, conducted by trained MM Mentors and will generate sign up approved by the church ministry leader or selected Facilitator
• The selected church Facilitator will be trained by one of the MM Mentors consistently throughout the program
• Registration will be assisted by a MM Mentor to get the program up and running
• There will be a standard non-refundable registration fee per person, which will cover the total cost of the MM binder and copies of the required reading books
• The selected church Facilitator will get monthly materials with teaching instructions prior to every module
• The church has the option of bringing in their assigned MM Mentor monthly to teach a particular lesson, assess reflection projects, critic program and meet with and continue training the MM Facilitator
• The church would be asked to give an offering to the MM program to assist with the expenses of assigning a particular Mentor to teach and assist their group
• Each graduate will receive the traditional MM graduation plaque given specifically by the Me Management Discipleship Program Creator, Rev. Theresa McFaddin
• No materials or lessons can be altered by church or ministry under any circumstances

MM Option #2 : Me Management Completion

• The church or ministry can begin the MM Program at any time with the written consent of the MM Ministry
• The MM binders will be purchased for a set fee
• The church or ministry Facilitator will also purchase their teaching materials from the MM ministry
• A one time general information meeting will be given by a MM mentor
• There will be no traditional MM graduation at the “A Date With God” retreat
• A MM Mentor can give assistance with a graduation ceremony set up by the church or ministry running the program
• No traditional MM graduation plaque will be given to graduates, but a MM ministry certificate will be issued with the condition that all lessons have been completed and exams passed by those in the group
• A MM Mentor can be available to give a 6 month group assessment for the church or ministry
• Scripture memory of Psalm 119 verses is optional
• No materials can be altered by church or ministry under any circumstances

Me Management History To Date
Me Management Class #1

The day I decided to commit to mentoring a group of young women for the 2002-2003 year, my whole world changed... and has never been the same since!  I had spent the year of 2001-2002 mentoring 2 women weekly in a more casual way; however, Me Management was a total upgrade in my teaching skills and mentoring.

In August 2002 we began with a group of 14 young women… and only 7 remained for the whole year and graduated in July 2003.  Seven is the number of completion, and complete we were at the end of our year together.  There were different ages, styles, attitudes and temperaments.  In total, 8 (the number of new beginnings) women decided that come what may, we were going to see the finish line.  As a result, the first Me Management Binder was birthed; the first Me Management Graduation took place at A Date With God; and this Me Management Class #1 led the way for 3 more classes the following year, and 2 classes the year after that!

We could have stopped a million times:  when some said it was “group therapy”; when I had to have major surgery and leave the group to their own study for a month; when the other 7 left the group for various reasons; when someone said I was doing it for financial gain; when there were many relationship disagreements; or when some believed it was just too much information to study. No matter what, we continued to continue.  Amen & Amen!

So I must dedicate the success of this mentoring program to the sisters of the 2003 Me Management Class #1.  You paved the way for the sisters of the 2004 graduating classes 2, 3 and 4 and the 2005 graduating classes 5 and 6.  Those were some of the best nights ever… praying, studying, making history, and believing God for his grace.  I love you all still, and I pray that the Word in you will never come back void!

Me Management Acknowledgements

During our second year, Pastor Mark Copeland, of Kingdom Life Church in Hayward, CA, was the first pastor to request that the program be taught at his church by any means necessary!  You introduced me to Minister Kai Gibson to teach the program, and I found a dear friend in the midst of growing the program.  He has also seen the vision for a future Me Management for Men!  I love you and thanks to you and Pastor Kathy for trusting me with your flock.

As a result of Pastor Mark requesting the program, I then talked to Pastors Andrea and Charles Humphrey, of Hope's House Ministries in Northridge, CA, and they requested that we bring the program to their church as well.  So one night over food, Andrea, Kai and myself plotted out a course of action to have Me Management in Northridge and Hayward, California.  Northridge is in their third year of the program!  Their emotional and financial support is never ending and has sustained me greatly!  Y'all are just bad… what more can I say!

2004 was one of my most exciting years in ministry!  Not only did we have an absolutely successful 9^th annual retreat, A Date With God, but we also graduated 3 classes of Me Management.  I still don't know how it all happened, except to say that it takes a village to raise a child!  And the Me Management baby has been growing every since!  2005 will celebrate 2 more graduating classes of Me Management.  I know this is only the beginning.  Once the program is fully published, there are no boundaries to its development of disciples. 

My desire is for women to know the Word of God and blend it perfectly into their behavior.  The following are the rest of the ladies who have graduated the program to date.  I love you all, and I thank you for remaining when so many didn't finish out the year.  Hold fast to the engrafted Word of God, which is able to save you!
